Kefalonia....Island of Dreams that's what the locals say....and it is!

This page will give you a flavour of the island. It's mind blowing beauty.
Places to go. Things to see. It's a snapshot of some of the things you could be
experiencing when you come on a Dare to Dream retreat. If you love what
you see, like what you feel and want to know more....you know where we are!

Kefalonia has not yet become ruined by over commercialization.
That's not to say things aren't changing... they are - but slowly.
Turtles still lay eggs on Mounda beach - but not in such great numbers.
Wild herbs still permeate the drive along the coast road where the
mountains meet the sea, just a little less fragrant than when I first
moved to Kefalonia. There are still random act's of kindness being
shown from locals - perhaps not quite as often as in the past but still
enough to re new your faith in human kindness! It is unlike any other
Greek Island I have ever been too; crazy, loud, gentle, stunning, mad,
and quirky with views that could reduce you to tears - it is a very unique
place....Come soon before it's authentic character disappears.....

Katelios
The gorgeous little fishing village where our accommodation is based.
Tranquil relaxing, blue sea, warm shallow water, fresh food, sleepy
afternoons...bliss!

Katelios Taverna
The restaurant we use for most of our workshops on the beach and to
have our evening gatherings at - where we can enjoy a glass of wine &
some nibbles! It's run by Detta's daughter Sadie & her Greek husband Ilias
- they are always there for a chat, a coffee or some helpful advice on
living in Kefalonia.

Island Pictures
They say a picture tells a thousand words...even these pictures don't do
justice to the amazing beauty of this largish island - 2 hrs drive from top
to bottom and two hours across from the widest points - we cover loads
on our special 'Happy Days' island tour!

See & Do
A flavour of some of the highlights of this amazing island. There really is
something for everybody - from relaxation to painting, to trekking in the
national park, to lazing on a perfect beach, to drinking a few ouzo's and
dancing the night away!
